Pervin Buldan: Let’s build the future together with women’s alliance 2018-05-06 12:33:00       Şehriban Aslan   DİYARBAKIR - HDP Co-chair Pervin Buldan indicated that the most meaningful alliance in Turkey is women’s alliance and she called on women, “June 24 may contribute to this. Let’s build the women’s future together. Let’s take part in this process by advocating pluralism against this system and one-man regime.”   Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Pervin Buldan commented on the alliance between the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the alliance between İYİ (Good) Party, Felicity Party (SP) Democrat Party (DP) and Republican People's Party (CHP). Mentioning the women’s alliance to come together under “Democratic Women's Front”, Pervin emphasized that everyone forms an alliance in this process but the most meaningful alliance is the women’s alliance.   Pervin said, “Women are the most aggrieved segment in 16 year period of Turkey. As women, we struggle with all kinds of problems such as economic crises, social crises and ongoing war policies. Women’s struggle has been going on for years but this struggle is being interrupted by the AKP. And these processes form a basis for women carrying out Kurdish women’s struggle and Turkish women’s struggle to come together.”   ‘June 24 is an opportunity for women’   Noting that everyone forms an alliance in this process, Pervin said, “We think the most meaningful alliance in Turkey is women’s alliance. Therefore, we think all women living in Turkey should put the pressure on them to one side and should take part in this alliance. We always state that we can form this alliance under the umbrella of the HDP. June 24 may contribute to this. This period is a test and an opportunity for women living in Turkey.”   ‘Let’s build our future together’   “Women have a great reason to prefer the HDP,” said Pervin and she underlined that the HDP has taken many concrete steps for women due to the persecution policies ongoing for years. Pervin said, “It is very important for us that women become candidates from the HDP. We have 2-3 days for application. We call on all women without exception; HDP is yours, it is our party. Let’s build the women’s future together. Let’s take part in this process by advocating pluralism against this system and one-man regime.”
