Sister of killed Emine: The court gives opportunity to the murderer to run away 2018-04-17 09:14:24   İZMİR - Sevinç Üntürk, sister of Emine Demirci who was allegedly killed by Mustafa Demirci, reacted to the release of Mustafa pending the trial. “The judge officially tried to tell the murderer to run away. The prosecutor and the judge seem like standing by the perpetrator. I don’t trust in the justice system anymore. If things continue to happen like this, more women will be killed.”   Mustafa Demirci was acquitted of killing his wife in İzmir. But he has begun to be tried after the reversal of decision by the Supreme Court. Despite the determination includes investigation and expert reports, the court rejected the request for arrest of Mustafa Demirci. Sevinç Üntürk, sister of killed Emine Demirci, criticized the court's attitude.   ‘The court gives opportunity to the murderer to run away’   Recalling that Mustafa was held in prison just three months after killing of Emine, Sevinç said the case was held in the Supreme Court for five years after the objection. Sevinç reported that Mustafa has been released by the court pending the trial after the second hearing of the case. Sevinç said, “During the second hearing, the court didn’t send him to prison and didn’t ban him from travelling abroad despite the crime scene investigation report and forensic report. The hearing has been postponed to June. The judge officially tried to tell the murderer to run away. The prosecutor and the judge seem like standing by the perpetrator.”   ‘If things continue to happen like this, more women will be killed’   Emphasizing that Mustafa planned the murder, Sevinç said, “He used their child when my sister tried to leave the house. And many times, he told the child, “I will kill your mother and we will run away together’. He planned and killed my sister, the evidences are obvious but there is no justice. I don’t trust in the justice system anymore. If things continue to happen like this, more women will be killed.”
