Student allegedly battered for listening to Kurdish music

	MARDİN - The school deputy manager of the İbn-i Sina Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in Kızıltepe district of Mardin province İ.K. allegedly first battered a student among the other students for listening to Kurdish music at school and then took the student to his room and battered, threatened the student there.

	 

	After the dismissal of thousands of teachers in Kurdistan, the events related to the education personnel take place in schools almost every day. In the schools, where all kinds of psychological violence imposed on the students following the ban on speaking Kurdish language in the schools of Şırnak, physical violence has begun to be used against the Kurdish students. İ.K., the school deputy manager of the İbn-i Sina Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in Kızıltepe district of Mardin province, allegedly inflicted physical violence against a student for listening to Kurdish music at school.

	 

	According to the statement of the students and parents, the school deputy manager battered a student listening Kurdish music among the other students and took the student to his room. İ.K. allegedly battered and threatened the student in his room and then sent the student to the class.

	 

	‘This isn’t the first’

	 

	The students said the school deputy manager did the same to the students speaking Kurdish language at the school and no investigation had been opened against him yet. S.T., one of the students, said, “He walked up to the child when he understood the child was listening the Kurdish music. First he battered the child among us. He did the same to other students before. I don’t know if the child told the incident to the parents but we can face what he faced.”
