Women of Diyarbakır to flock to Newroz area against attacks on Afrin

	DİYARBAKIR - Women will flock to Newroz area in Diyarbakır, where the preparation for Newroz celebration is almost completed, against the attacks on Afrin.

	 

	The preparation for Newroz to be celebrated in Diyarbakır on March 21 with the motto, “Let’s strengthen resistance with the spirit of Newroz; let’s gain the victory in Afrin” is almost completed. We spoke to the women of Diyarbakır about the Newroz celebration.

	 

	‘Let's end the war and deaths’

	 

	“We don’t want to get up with war every day,” said Fatma Şahin and she said she would attend the Newroz celebration against war. Fatma said, “We want the end of these wars and peace. How long will this war go on? Hundreds of people are killed every day due to war. Enough is enough; let’s end the war and deaths.”

	 

	‘End the war’

	 

	Ramziye Damar demanded the attacks on Afrin to be ended and said, “All I want from this year’s Newroz is the end of the war. We want a world where everyone lives together. For this reason, I demand the end of war going on in Afrin and I don’t want people to be killed anymore.”

	 

	‘Flock to Newroz area for freedom’

	 

	Zehra Yaman said, “Our expectation from this year's Newroz is getting freedom soon but we cannot get freedom just with expectation. Because the enemy carries out a new war every day.”

	 

	‘We will not stop demanding freedom’

	 

	Fahriye Koca stated that she would be in Newroz area like every year and she added, “I will be in Newroz area to demand peace and freedom like every year. We never stop demanding freedom. Another reason for attending the Newroz celebration is the attacks on Afrin. We will raise our voice in Newroz area to stop the attacks on Afrin.”
