
Journalists Elif Çetiner and Melike Ceylan detained

	ISTANBUL - Mezopotamya News Agency Managing Editor Elif Çetiner and the news agency’s reporter Melike Ceyhan have been taken into custody.

	&nbsp;

	Mezopotamya News Agency Managing Editor Elif Çetiner and the news agency’s reporter Melike Ceyhan was taken into custody in Hacı Ahmet Neighborhood of Istanbul’s Beyoğlu district while covering news. Melike and Elif were stopped at the entrance of the neighborhood and their IDs were checked through the General Information Gathering (GBT). Then the two journalists were taken into custody and taken to Kasım Paşa Police Station. Reason for detention of Elif and Melike is unknown yet.
