	ISTANBUL - Peace signatory Doç. Dr. Nuray Ergüneş Oruç from Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences has passed away.

	 

	Doç. Dr. Nuray Ergüneş Oruç from Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences has passed away. She was among the 1128 signatories of a petition released in January 2016 calling for an end to violence in the region. Academics for Peace have announced the death of Nuray on their Twitter account. The tweet reads, “We have learned with great sorrow that our peace signatory teacher and friend Nuray Ergüneş from Istanbul University left us. We express our sympathy to her family and her relatives.”
