‘Those who went to Afrin for victory will be frustrated’

	DİYARBAKIR - HDK Co-spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit took the floor during the 2nd General Conference of DBP Local Governments and she said, “AKP and MHP are targeting the Kurdish statue anywhere. Those who went to Afrin for victory will be frustrated.”

	 

	2nd General Conference of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Local Governments is going on. Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) Co-spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit took the floor during the conference and stated that the DBP has taken considerable steps in women’s works both in Turkey and Middle East since it got the local governments.

	 

	‘The AKP wants to generate itself in Kurdistan’

	 

	Mentioning the period after June 7, Gülitan said, “AKP taking hostage of co-mayors and MPs in the process after June 7 wants to implement an exploitation policy by wanting to generate itself in Kurdistan. Each closed party puts a brick on democracy. We must never underestimate what we succeeded. To succeed more, we should work more and raise the ideological and social struggle. Regarding Afrin matter, Turkey says it attacks due to threat. The goal is not the threat. The main problem is that Turkey attacks the free Kurdish people because it cannot make a peace with the Kurds within its boundaries. AKP and MHP are targeting the Kurdish statue anywhere. 	‘Local governments are one of the indispensable self-organizations of the society’

	 

	After the speech of Gülistan, the letter sent by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Gültan Kışanak held in Kandıra No.1 F-type Closed Prison was read. In her letter, Gültan emphasizes that the local governments are one of the indispensable self-organizations of the society to meet social needs, to organize a democratic life and build a free and equal future.
