	VAN - Van Peace Mothers’ Assembly react to attacks on Afrin.

	 

	Van Peace Mothers’ Assembly held a press conference in the building of Democratic Regions Party (DBP) in Van province regarding Turkish attacks on Afrin. Peace Mother Münüfer Kaçak said all mothers felt pain before every war and she called to stop the war.

	 

	“We think unarmed children and women in the war going on in Afrin.  We see killed children every night when we turn on the TV. At first, we have to first think about them. I am appealing all the states of the world; Stop this war,” said Münüfer.

	 

	Peace Mother Zekiye Kaya said, “We didn’t want guerrillas, police and soldiers to be killed. Until now, we have issued calls for the same thing. We called to stop the people to be killed. Blood cannot be washed with blood. Don’t let the young people to be killed. Peace is still the solution to end this. I am calling on particularly mothers of soldiers sent to war; let’s fight together, let’s stop the bloodshed together. Our children come to this world to live, not to die. As Peace Mothers, we are ready to be bridge for peace against war.”
