Nusaybin’s test with state of emergency! 2018-01-27 12:18:23   MARDİN - Police have kept tabs on people in Nusaybin, one of places where the state of emergency has been felt the most, in the last week for “security” reason. The people have been prevented from walking in the city by arbitrary criminal record check, house raids have been conducted in the city for unfounded reports.   Pressures on people living in Mardin's Nusaybin district have reached the highest level in the last week. Almost everyone has faced arbitrary criminal record check in the city center, where declared as ‘warning red’ by Police Headquarters. The reports say the people investigation opened against them have been summoned to give fingerprints in the district where unfounded reports have increased.   ‘Jailed’ people are wanted in house raids!   The reports also say police have raided four houses in the city and asked where the people, who are in prison, are from their families. During the house raids on Fırat and Dicle neighborhoods, police asked where jailed three people were and searched the houses.   ‘Pressure increases for a year’   A citizen named İ., who witnessed one of detention operations took place in the city, said, “15 police officers and two armored vehicles surrounded a young person. I saw them asking ID card from the person. Then, I heard they were saying, “You will also see”. All police officers attacked the person. Still I hear the cry of the young person. They threatened the people reacting to this with their guns. The pressure has increased for a year.”
