Yurdusev Özsökmenler: To make state lift isolation is our duty

	ANKARA-HDP General Co-president Yurdusev Özsökmenler drawn attention to the aggravated isolation that continue to be imposed upon Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Leader Abdullah Öcalan and said, “To make the state lift this isolation is one of our most important duties. This won’t mean to lift the isolation in İmralı. It will create a opportunity to take a step for democracy in Turkey.”

	 

	The aggravated isolation imposed upon PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is continuing while the request of his lawyers for meeting with their client was rejected for 722 times by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The meeting between Abdullah Öcalan and his lawyers has been obstructed on charges of “adverse weather conditions”, “coaster is broken”, coaster is in repair”, and “emergency decree” since July 27, 2011, and meeting with his family has also been obstructed for a long time. Pointing out the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, HDP General Vice Co-president Yurdusev Özsökmenler stated that the isolation in İmralı island spread all over Turkey and said that the most important duty for them to remove the conditions that create the the isolation.

	 

	‘The isolation in İmralı island spead all over Turkey’

	 

	 Stating that the isolation in İmralı island spread all over Turkey, Yurdusev talked as follows: “The isolation in İmralı island spread all over prisons. Today, we see the isolation in every where. Who ever express  his/her opinion and goes to the avenues, he/she is taken into custody or get arrested. Those, who want their jobs back and who are academicians, they get tried. There is also Nuriye and Semih, who are on hunger strike. Meeting with them is also obstructed. All Turkey, from individuals to prisons, is under isolation.”

	 

	‘The isolation needs to be stopped’

	 

	Saying that the isolation needs to be stopped and PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan needs to  be free, Yurdusev continued as follows: “To make the state lift this isolation is our the most important duty now. It won’t mean to lift isolation only in İmralı island. It will create an opportunity to take a step for democracy in Turkey. The possibilities of continuing war in Kurdistan conditions will be lifted and the conditions that can initiate a process will come out. Again they will talk about the success of the struggle against the bloody gang of Isis and an invasion movement for Efrin. In this way, Middle East is wanted to be slid into a new chaos and Turkey wanted to be slid into cliff. However, honorable Öcalan has set the conditions and program that the people in the Middle East can live in an equal and common way. These conditions must be actualized and the isolation must be brought to an end for Öcalan's freedom."
