
Strip search in Hatay T-type Children’s Closed Prison!

	HATAY – Jailed girls, who have been forced to stay in a ward between two wards of boys in Hatay T-type Children’s Closed Prison, told their lawyers and families’ members that they had been subjected to strip search by wardens.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	There is another ward in the Hatay T-type Children's Closed Prison between the two wards where boys jailed for criminal cases have stayed. Those who have put in this ward are girls aged 13 and 16 for political reasons. The girls, who have been subjected to strip search by wardens and soldiers, have been also subjected to verbal abuse by the boys. Their lawyers, who stated that they had shared this situation to the prison administration, are concerning about that the administration hasn’t taken any step.&nbsp;

	According to reports obtained from the lawyers, there is no other ward for the girls in the prison. The girls have been subjected to systematic torture of strip search and they have also difficulties during their visits. Lawyers and families state that they are expecting awareness from the public opinion.&nbsp;
