The children, who gather around the dung-burning stoves, have spent their nights by watching cartoons accompanied with songs. Do just children watch it? The parents can also watch the Kurdish cartoons, they have always dreamed of, thanks to the Zarok TV.    Children stand up for their native language    13-year-old Ruken Kumli, who sings along with songs on Zarok TV, said her favorite cartoon is ‘The Smurfs’. Ruken said she played the games she had learned from the channel with her friends and she had learned many Kurdish songs by heart.    65-year-old Makbule Kumli said she couldn’t keep her eyes off the Zarok TV and she added, “Although we talk the Kurdish language with our children, they learn Turkish language when they go to school. And this caused them to forget their language. But Zarok TV offers fun programs to the children in their own language now. I suggest every parent to get their children to watch the Zarok TV.”
