Call from women: Let’s raise our power with others

	DİYARBAKIR - A great number of women, who came together at the meeting called “Kurdish women are discussing the process”, made a call saying “Let’s rasie our power with others”

	 

	Kurdish business woman Ferda Cemiloğlu, Human Rights Association (IHD) Co-President Eren Keskin, Democratic Party of Peoples (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Feleknas Uca, female activist Gülten Kaya, journalist-writer Nurcan Baysal, Board Member of the Political and Social Research Center (SAMER) Yüksel Genç, artist Mizgin Tahir, and the women who came together with the call of female activist Duysal Karataş, discussed the struggles of Kurdish women on national unity against all forms of violence and crime policies against women.

	 

	Women attended to the meeting called “Kurdish women are discussing the process” with their traditional dresses. The saloon, where our invention was made, hung the "We are from here, and we are here" banner. Following the opening speech, Duysal Karatas, who started with respect duties, read the call text in Kurdish and Turkish. A banner reading “We are from here, and we are here” hung to the hall where the meeting held. Duysal Karataş read the call text in Turkish and in Kurdish at the meeting started with stand in silence after the opening speech.

	 

	The text of the call included the following statements:

	 

	We, as Kurdish women set foot in everywhere in the world, built new life in everywhere, stand by side of every people and every right, produced and protected for every flower, every stone, every human, every color, every tear, every labor, every anger, every patience and for every sunny day that we deserved, should came together with our sense of responsibility against our future and our history. We should bring together our words and our hearts”

	 

	‘Let’s raise our power with others’

	 

	There is no bad destiny for us! Let’ put ladder to sky with our every piece and write our own fate.

	 

	We call upon all the women who are tired of mourning: Let’s raise our power with others

	 

	Let's get out of the difficult times by saying our promise of the future of our people. Here you are; to open up new horizons and to talk ourselves, our homelands, our roads, and our orbit…”

	 

	After the text of the call was read, a cinevision of the Kurdish women's struggle was showed.

	 

	The meeting of the women continued as closed-door meeting with discussions made.
