	NEWS CENTER- Trans prisoner Esra was once again subjected to torture in Maltepe L-type Prison by wardens.

	Trans prisoner Esra was once again subjected to torture in Maltepe L-type Prison by wardens for wearing skirt and high-heel shoes. Esra’s lawyer said, “We filed a criminal complaint to Ministry of Justice. We also met with İHD (Human Rights Association) and TİHV (Human Rights Foundation of Turkey) and we have taken steps to get a report on the attack. Trans prisoner Esra now needs even more solidarity. We continue to struggle with our comrades against the gendered practices and tortures that the state maintains in prisons.”
