Up to 15 years in prison demanded for Co-mayor Sevil Rojbin Çetin

	VAN – Prosecutor has demanded prison sentence from seven years to 15 years for Sevil Rojbin Çetin, removed elected Co-mayor of Edremit Municipality.

	Trial of Edremit Co-mayor Sevil Rojbin Çetin, who was jailed on August 25, 2015 and then released from prison, continued today. An indictment has been prepared against her on charges of “Being member of a (terrorist) organization”. Sixth trial of Rojbin was held today by 1st High Criminal Court. Rojbin didn’t attend the trial but her lawyers did.

	The prosecutor has demanded prison sentence from seven years to 15 years for Rojbin on charges of “Being member of a (terrorist) organization”.

	The trial has been postponed to January 25, 2018.
