Survivors of the Xerab Hişke Massacre: We must mobilise for Kobanê 2026-01-27 15:10:14   NEWS CENTRE - Those injured in the Xerab Hişkê Massacre carried out by HTS, DAISH and gangs affiliated with Turkey have called for mobilisation for Kobanê.   HTS, DAISH and gangs affiliated with Turkey carried out a massacre in the village of Xerab Hişkê. Five members of the targeted family were killed, their bodies still under the rubble, while five others, including children, were injured. Despite the declared ceasefire and the parties' commitment to it, the gangs continue to attack.   Citizens injured in the attack and their relatives spoke to ANF.    ‘All my relatives were massacred’   Fatme Hec Mehmûd, who lost her leg in the attack, said she thought she was dreaming when her body was burning, but when she looked around, she saw that there were no walls and children were crying. “They pulled three people out of the rubble. Everyone else was still under the rubble. We couldn't rescue them because the fighting had started. We waited from 11 p.m. until 9 a.m. for the road to open and the fighting to stop. But then we were able to reach Kobanê. I was at work when I saw on the news that my relatives had been massacred. They were all my relatives, my cousins and brothers. We still haven't been able to retrieve the bodies of our martyrs who remain under the rubble. We were only able to rescue the wounded. If we had been able to reach the wounded immediately, they might not have been martyred."   Call to arms for Kobanê   Barî Hecî Mehmûd, who reported that Turkey carried out the attack, said: "The Turkish state carried out this attack. The Turkish state is targeting everyone. We call on the international community to take up arms for Kobanê. Kobanê is a city that defends the whole world. This war must now be stopped."
