A message from the fighters: To resist is to live! 2026-01-24 13:02:53   NEWS CENTRE - QSD, YPJ and YPG forces fighting on the war front have sent the message: ‘Even if only one of us remains, we will continue the fight.’   In Hesekê, QSD, YPJ and YPG fighters are on high alert against attacks by HTS-DAISH and gangs affiliated with Turkey. Defensive activities continue unabated under harsh weather conditions and heavy snowfall. In the city centre, towns and villages, the local population is keeping watch on the streets and neighbourhoods alongside QSD and YPG-YPJ fighters, while QSD and YPJ forces are conducting uninterrupted patrols on the front lines outside the city and on the main roads.   A large part of the front line stretching from Hesekê to Raqqa has been cleared. Fighters continue to strengthen their positions on the front lines approximately 20 km from the centre of Hesekê.   Speaking in footage sent to ANF from the front line, a YPG fighter said: ‘Our dear people, our YPG-YPJ fighters are currently at the front lines. They are strengthening their positions. 24 January, 03:00.’   'We will not allow it'   A YPJ fighter said, 'We have said it before, and we repeat it here: We are fighting a war of existence for all of Kurdistan, especially Hesekê. It is either an honourable life or an honourable death. They say they will easily enter the cities using special warfare methods on their own platforms. We will not allow this. Until the last Kurdish fighter or the last person remains, we will not allow them to pass through Kurdish cities."   ‘To resist is to live, comrade’   Another YPG fighter said, “Honour is our honour, Hesekê is our Hesekê. Let them come to the square,” while another fighter said, “As children of fire, we will resist to the last drop of our blood. This is ground zero. If they fire a single bullet at us, we will respond. Resistance is life, comrade, this is our place. This land is our land."   QSD and YPJ forces are maintaining their resistance positions both in urban and rural fronts against the increasing threats in recent times.
