The vigil action, which was started on March 9 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her spouse and two sons as a result of the attack of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız’s guard and relatives, and Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attacks with injuries, in front of the Urfa Courthouse, continues on the 269th day. Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar, who continued their protest in front of the banner they hung on the courthouse garden wall, stated that their vigils continued ‘’under persecution’’. Expressing that they have been shouting out for justice for nine months, Ferit pointed out that there is a great crisis throughout Turkey. Ferit said, ‘’The cause of this crisis is not individuals. This crisis will not end no matter how many people change. The reason for this crisis is the system. This system should be changed. We want this cruelty to end. No one has a chance to remain insensitive to this cruelty. All the elected people who come to Urfa see this persecution. We want this cruelty to end as soon as possible. Our struggle continues on its 269th day’’.
