‘Justice Vigil for Sick Prisoners’ on its 11th day 2021-11-26 17:10:10     DİYARBAKIR - While the ‘’Justice Vigil for Sick Prisoners’’ continues on its 11th day, Mesopotamia GOCDER executive Ayşan Kanuş Zengin, who made a solidarity visit, called on all families and institutions to support the action.   In the service building of Diyarbakır Bar Association, the families of prisoners initiated the ‘’Justice Vigil for Sick Prisoners’’ for releasing of extremely sick prisoners and the prisoners who were not released by canceling remissions. The vigil continues on its 11th day. The executives of the Mesopotamia Migration Monitoring and Research Association (Mesopotamia GOCDER) and the Association of Lawyers for Freedom (OHD) executives visited the Justice Vigil.   ‘Prisoners are kept in prison because of defending their rights’   Ayşan Kanuş Zengin, one of the executives of Mesopotamia GOCDER, who visited the prisoners’ families to support the Justice Vigil, greeted the families’ vigil and said, ‘’The health conditions of the prisoners and the sick prisoners are not good at all. Most of the prisoners lost their kidneys and eyes, especially during the hunger strike. Prisoners are kept in prison because of defending their rights and their rights are the rights of the entire people. That is why we call on all families, whose children are in prison or not, to support Justice Vigil’’.   ‘We will continue’   Afterward, sick prisoner relative, Hakkı Boltan, thanked the Mesopotamia GOCDER executives for their support visit and stated that they will continue the Justice Vigil for sick prisoners until vigil reaches its goal.
