Application to international NGOs from Asrın Law Office

	ISTANBUL - Asrın Law Office made application to 13 international NGOs due to the not taken news from PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, Ömer Hayri Konar, Veysi Aktaş and Hamili Yıldırım for eight months.

	 

	Asrın Law Office applied to 13 international non-governmental organizations working in the field of human rights for their clients, whom they could not take news for eight months, PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, Ömer Hayri Konar, Veysi Aktaş, and Hamili Yıldırım. Lawyers shared on their Twitter account, ‘’We have applied to non-governmental organizations, particularly to law institutions, working in the international arena, in order to end the unacceptable, inhumane and unlawful situation in Imralı’’.

	 

	Application to 13 institutions

	 

	In this context, the lawyers applied to the following institutions and demanded that the situation of not hearing news for eight months from Imralı be ended: Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT), Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), European Association of Lawyers For Democracy & World Human Rights (ELDH), Fédération des Barreaux d’Europe (FBE), Human Rights Watch (HRW), International Federation For Human Rights (FIDH), International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL), International Service For Human Rights (ISHR), Lawyers For Lawyers, Turkey Human Rights Litigation Support Project, World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT), European Democratic Lawyers (ADL-EDL), Amnesty International.
