	ISTANBUL - Lawyers of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan applied to Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and Imralı Prison Directorate to meet with their client.

	&nbsp;

	Lawyers of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan; Faik Özgür Erol, Raziye Öztürk, Rezan Sarıca and Cengiz Yürekli applied to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Directorate of Imralı Penal Institution to meet with their client.

	There is no answer!

	Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office imposed a six-month meeting ban on September 23, 2020, on the grounds of the ‘’Road Map’’ prepared by Abdullah Öcalan in addition to his defense submitted to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in 2009. Lawyers, whose applications for meeting were left inconclusive based on this decision, learned that Abdullah Öcalan was given a new disciplinary punishment last January. Despite the expiry of the ban on March 23, no positive or negative response is given to the applications made by the lawyers.

	Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers, Newroz Uysal and Rezan Sarıca, last met with their client on May 2-22, June 12-18, and August 7, 2019, after eight years.

	&nbsp;

	The last phone call was interrupted

	&nbsp;

	Abdullah Öcalan was given the right to make phone call for the first time in 22 years on April 27, 2020. Abdullah Öcalan had a phone call with his brother Mehmet Öcalan on March 25, due to the growing public concerns about him, but Mehmet Öcalan announced that this phone call was interrupted.
