‘Justice Vigil’ continues for 259 days: Prosecutor commits crime 2021-11-22 15:17:20   URFA - Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar, who have been on the ‘’Justice Vigil’’ for 259 days, said, ‘’Prosecutors are committing crime and becoming partners in it. Every time we enter the courthouse, even the chief prosecutor runs away from us, they do not meet’’. The family also demanded the release of detained journalist Emrullah Acar.   The ‘’Justice Vigil’’ started in front of the Urfa Courthouse on March 9 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her spouse and two sons as a result of the attack of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız’s guard and relatives, and Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attacks with injuries, continues on its 259th day. The family, who comes from Suruç district, continues their vigil at the place called ‘’Şenyaşar Family Justice Corner’’.   ‘Her only demand is that doing the necessary by the state of law’   Ferit said that they started to justice vigil in front of the courthouse for further action, but there has been no development in the case for nine months, and underlined that the prosecutors are committing a crime and becoming partners in the crime. Ferit said, ‘’Every time we enter the courthouse, even the chief prosecutor runs away from us, they do not meet. Anyone who talks about democracy, making amends and law in Turkey will make their first call in front of the Urfa Courthouse. This mother has been in front of the courthouse for nine months, her only demand is that doing the necessary by the state of law’’.   ‘Our third demand is the release of Emrullah’   ‘’The police and prosecutors tried every way to prevent our action from being heard. Reporter Emrullah Acar from the Mesopotamia Agency (MA), who made our news, was detained. He has no any crime. When we started our struggle in front of the courthouse, we had two demands. Our first demand is for my brother, who is under arrest, to be released, and our second demand is for the perpetrators of the massacre to be tried. We add a third demand; While our struggle continues in front of the courthouse, we will try to make his voice heard until Emrullah Acar is released,’’ Ferit said.
