‘Youth and women will be in the fields until the isolation is lifted’

	ŞEHBA - Hêvî Silêman, member of the Committee of Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, stated that the peoples of the Middle East became conscious with Abdullah Öcalan's thoughts, and said that women and youth will be in the fields until the isolation is lifted.

	 

	While the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı continues, the applications made by his lawyers and family to meet are left unanswered. There has been no news from Abdullah Öcalan for about eight months. While the ‘’Now is the time of freedom’’ campaign, which was launched to end the isolation on Abdullah Öcalan and ensure his freedom, continues, the ‘’Committee of Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan’’ continues its actions and activities. Hêvî Silêman, who is a member of the ‘’Committee of Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan’’, spoke to JINNEWS.

	 

	‘His thoughts became universal’

	 

	Mentioning to PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan’s solution project, Hêvî said, ‘’We are going through an important process. Especially as the Kurdish people, we are in an important period. The move initiated is the ‘Time of freedom’ move. This move was initiated for the freedom of Leader Apo. Leader Apo is a philosopher and builder of free life. His thoughts became universal and became hope for all women. That’s why a radical solution is needed. This solution is Leader Apo’s thoughts and philosophy. Leader Apo put forward a project for the entire society and humanity. That’s why our Leadership is being held in the Imralı dungeon. There has been aggravated isolation there for 22 years’’.

	 

	‘States are not fulfilling their responsibilities’

	 

	Drawing attention to the silence of the states and their failure to fulfill their responsibilities, Hêvî said, ‘’There are war, violence and torture in Syria and the whole Middle East for 10 years. The most intense and planned violence is also practiced by hegemonic powers. The pressures applied by the hegemonic powers affect all societies. However, the society is conscious and aware of its responsibility for the solution of social problems’’.

	 

	‘The resistance revealed the real face of the sovereigns’

	 

	Drawing attention to the peoples of the Middle East who organized with the thoughts of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, Hêvî continued as follows, ‘’The resistance of the peoples against the attacks and the policies of the hegemonic powers in recent years has revealed the realities of these powers. Because people are now conscious. Again, the people are aware of the dirty politics. Therefore, they increased their resistance against it. Due to the thoughts of Rêber Apo, not only the Kurdish people, but all over the Middle East, peoples have recognised their own reality.’’

	 

	‘Our will is stronger than all sovereigns’

	 

	Stating that NATO provides all kinds of support to the Turkish state, Hêvî said that violence is being committed to peoples with all special war methods. Hêvî said, ‘’This is why a world war is being waged in the Middle East. With this, the will of the peoples was tried to be broken here. Everyday, there is threat on the peoples of the Middle East, especially on Northern and Eastern Syria. With the hands of gangs, Turkey wants to attack places where our people organize themselves and gain status. The Turkish state wants to destroy our gains and status and break our will. However, the will of our people is getting stronger against this.’’

	 

	‘The Turkish state is violating universal laws’

	 

	Hêvî underlined that the Turkish state would not be able to wage a war if NATO did not support Turkey. Stating that Turkey violated universal laws, Hêvî said, ‘’The peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria are in the fields every day. A dirty war has been waged all over Kurdistan for years. This war is not waged with normal weapons, but with chemical weapons. It is forbidden by law, but still used. On the other hand, the continued silence shows that there is an international plan for Kurdistan. Human rights organizations should bring the Turkish state to account. If Turkey is not supported, Turkey cannot continue this war.’’

	 

	Expressing that with Abdullah Öcalan’s freedom, women can also be free, Hêvî said, ‘’We see that people all over the world join the ‘Time of Freedom’ move. The campaign continues with the participation of academics, intellectuals and politicians from all over the world. Until the freedom of Rêber Apo, women and youth will be in the fields’’.
