Flood disaster in Tuşba: Many houses became unusable

	VAN - Many houses have became unusable due to the flood disaster in the Seyrantepe and Beyüzümü Neighborhoods of the Tuşba district.

	 

	Flood occurred in Seyrantepe and Beyüzümu Neighborhoods of Tuşba district due to downpour at around 03:00 am in Van. Citizens are trying to clean their living spaces while evacuating their belongings with their own means against the rain, which causes damage to the winter preparations due to the flooding of the basements of many houses.

	 

	It was reported that a house in Beyüzümü Neighborhood, which became completely unusable as a result of the flood and the children were stuck inside rescued by the citizens in the surrounding area.

	 

	Authorities have not yet intervened

	 

	While there was a power cut in the neighborhood along with the flood, it was learned that the authorities had not yet carried out any work on what happened.

	 

	During the visit of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Tuşba district administration and council members since the morning hours, material and nonmaterial damages were detected.

	The HDP delegation continues to meet with the residents.
