Ayla Akat Ata’s file combined with Kobanê file 2021-09-09 13:59:04     DİYARBAKIR - At the hearing of Ayla Akat Ata, one of the founders of the Rosa Women’s Association, the court board decided that Ayla’s file should be combined with the Kobanê file which is held in Ankara.   The hearing of the lawsuit filed against the founding member of the association, Ayla Akat Ata, on the allegation of ‘’membership in a terrorist organization’’ within the scope of the Rosa Women’s Association investigation, was held at the Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court. While Ayla attended the hearing with the Sound and Video Information System (SEGBIS) from Sincan Women’s Closed Prison, her lawyers Elif Tirenç and Gözde Engin were also present at the hearing.   The court board stated that the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court requested that the files be combined.    ‘The combine is unacceptable in this way’   Speaking at the hearing, Ayla stated that the indictment of the combined files reached her yesterday afternoon and requested additional time to defend herself. Ayla stated that the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court only accepted the file in which she was tried for ‘’membership in a terrorist organization’’ and that the file in which she was tried for ‘’from terrorist organization propaganda’’  was not accepted and noted that such a combine could not be accepted.   ‘Where does this secret witness come from?’   Ayla’s lawyers, on the other hand, drew attention to the fact that the secret witness in the file should be heard today, but the witness is not present, and said: ‘’There is no wet signature or evidence of the witness whose statement was taken by the public prosecutor. Where does this secret witness come from? In the previous hearing, we wanted this secret witness to be investigated, but today we see that there is no secret witness.’’ And they objected to the decision to combine the files.   In his/her opinion, the prosecutor requested that Ayla’s file be combined with her file at the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court.   Ayla pointed out that the combining decision was an effort of the court to send away the file.   At the hearing, it was remarkable that the court board constantly interrupted Ayla and her lawyers, and it was decided to combine the file with the file at the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court.
