Statement under police protection in front of HDP Headquarter building

	ANKARA - Two people brought from Diyarbakır targeted the party by making a statement in front of the HDP Headquarter building under police protection. HDP Ankara Provincial Co-chair Pakize Sinemillioğlu said that what was done was a provocation and said: ‘’They are trying to challenge us by taking the police behind them. They should not ask their children from us, but from the AKP and the parliament.’’

	 

	The Headquarter building of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in Ankara’s Çankaya district has been blockaded by the police since morning hours. The reason for the blockade is the statement that two persons, who are waiting in front of HDP Diyarbakır Provincial Building and claiming that their children have been kidnapped, want to make in front of the Headquarter building. Before the statement, the police blockaded the street and HDP building and closed the road to traffic and entrance and exit. The police, who did not allow HDP members to enter the party building, made the party members wait for hours.

	 

	Saliha Aydeniz targeted

	 

	Two people, who made a statement accompanied by the police, insulted HDP and Republican People’s Party (CHP) and targeted Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-chair Saliha Aydeniz.

	 

	‘The address is not us, it is AKP’

	 

	HDP Ankara Provincial Co-chair Pakize Sinemillioğlu reacted to the statement made in front of the headquarter of their party and said: ‘’That address is not us. They should not ask their children from us, but from the AKP and the parliament. Injustice done to us. They did not want to let us into our own building. While trying to enter our party with our MPs in the morning, we were blocked by the police. The police usurped this place and pushed HDP Istanbul MP Ali Kenanoğlu. After waiting for about an hour and half, we were able to enter our party. This is something done by the state. The police placed a wreath with his own hand. This is something done stubbornly and persistently for the purpose of provocation. They do not even want to let us out in front of our own building. What they could not do in Diyarbakır, they tried to do here with a provocation. They even announced that they would do the same thing again on September 3, but they were useless. We are not harming anyone. Wherever there is persecution, we are with them. They are trying to challenge us with the police behind them. We will never step a step back. We are at every point and we will continue to be. Because we are right. We will not be deceived and we will not step back.’’

	 

	Police and power-hand provocation

	 

	On the other hand, families standing in front of HDP Diyarbakır Provincial Building by setting up tents attacked and insulted the party members with the hand of the police. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu frequently visited families and targeted HDP and its politicians.
