Call for solidarity with Afghan women in digital media 2021-08-16 15:36:14     NEWS CENTER - Calls for solidarity were made in the digital media for the women and children in Afghanistan captured by the Taliban.   Following the withdrawal of the US and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the advance of the Taliban and their occupation of Kabul raise concerns, especially for women. Against this, women called for solidarity with women in Afghanistan on the digital media platform Twitter. Director Sahraa Karimi, who lives in Afghanistan, asked for help by shooting a video after the Taliban reached Kabul. ‘’Please do not be silent, they are coming to kill us,’’ Sahraa said in her video message.   Women in Turkey and the region gave voice to the calls of Sahraa. ‘’We urge the international community not to leave Afghan women alone with the Taliban,’’ the women shared in Arabic, Turkish and English.   Rosa Women's Association, Women’s Time Association, Diyarbakır Bar Association Women's Rights Center, Women's Platform for Equality, Women's and Children's Rights, Aylin Aslım, Belçim Bilgin and many other institutions and names participated in the digital media action.
