49th group takes over resistance in prisons 2021-08-13 14:28:41     NEWS CENTER - The 49th group took over the hunger strike, which has entered its 260th day, against the aggravated isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and the increasing rights violations in prisons.   The hunger strike launched by Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) prisoners on November 27, 2020, demanding the end of the aggravated isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and an end to the increasing violations of rights in prisons, is on its 260th day. Today, the 49th group took over the hunger strike resistance, which started indefinitely and alternately every five days and continued alternately every 15 days since 14 July.   Hunger strike in Maxmur is on its 239th day   The hunger strike, which started on December 18, 2020, in Maxmur Camp in the Federated Kurdistan Region, led by women against the Imralı isolation and continued at the Maxmur Martyrs’ Families Council, has entered its 239th day.   Day 222 in Lavrio   The indefinite-alternating hunger strike launched by who are staying in the Lavrio Camp in Greece to end the isolation on the PKK leader and to support the ongoing hunger strikes in prisons has entered its 222nd day. The hunger strike in the camp is led by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ-Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger), the European Kurdish Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Kurd li Ewropayê) and the Kurdistan Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdistan).
