10 arrests relating to murder of Dedeoğulları family 2021-08-04 13:16:59   KONYA - As a result of the racist attack in Meram, 10 of the 14 people detained within the scope of the investigation, in which seven members of the Dedeoğulları family were murdered, were arrested. It was stated that the suspect Mehmet Altun's mother, father, wife and sister were among those arrested.   Within the scope of the investigation launched into the murder of seven members of the Dedeoğulları family by Mehmet Altun as a result of a racist attack on July 30 in the Hasanköy Neighborhood of the Meram district of Konya, 14 people known to be related to the perpetrator were detained.   After five days, 14 people who were sent to Konya Courthouse were referred to the Magistrates’ Court after their statements were completed at the Prosecutor’s Office. While the court decided to arrest 10 people on the charge of ‘’willful murder’’, they released four people on condition of judicial control.   Four people from the perpetrator’s family were arrested   In a statement made by the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was emphasized that the efforts to catch the fugitive suspect continue within the scope of the investigation. The statement made by the Prosecutor's Office is as follows: ‘’At this stage, the evidence has not been fully recovered, the HTS analyzes continue, the criminal reports are not fully supplied, the digital materials in the cyber investigation reports continue to be examined, the camera and witness investigations regarding the suspects' places on the day of the incident continue, for their relations with the fugitive suspect, who is the main perpetrator of the crime and still has a warrant of arrest, A.Ç, V.K, Y.Ç, Z.A, A.K, A.K, İ.K, İ.A, İ.A and R.Ç. were arrested by the on-duty magistrate on the charge of ‘’willful murder’’, the remaining suspects M.Ç, İ.Ç, M.G. and A.K. were released on the condition of a ban on leaving the country and judicial control.’’   It was learned that Z.A, the wife of fugitive perpetrator Mehmet Altun, his father İ.A, his mother İ.A. and his sister Ayşe Keleş were among those who arrested. Ayşe Keleş, who was among those arrested, was also arrested on May 13 following the attack on the Dedeoğulları family on May 12.
