Arrest regarding suspicious death of Öykü Yündün

	KOCAELİ - Within the scope of the investigation carried out regarding the suspicious death of Öykü Yündün, the woman’s friend Nihat Ş. was arrested.

	 

	A new development took place in the investigation regarding Öykü Yündün, who died suspiciously on July 13 in the Yeniyalı Neighborhood of the Körfez district of Kocaeli. Nihat Ş., the friend of Öykü, who died at his home, was arrested by the court he was brought to. After his statement to the police, Nihat Ş. was transferred to the Körfez Courthouse. Nihat Ş. was arrested and sent to prison as a result of his contradictory statements.

	 

	It was learned that the cause of Öykü's death will be determined in the autopsy report.

	 

	What happened?

	 

	On July 13, Öykü Yündün was found suspiciously dead in the house of her friend Nihat Ş., in the Yeniyalı Neighborhood of the Körfez district of Kocaeli province. Nihat Ş., who called the ambulance, said that he found the woman dead at home. The medical teams, who went to the scene on call, determined that the woman was dead. Nihat Ş., who gave a statement to the police, claimed that he left the house at night to go to work, and when he returned in the morning, he found Öykü dead. Nihat Ş., whose statements found contradictory, was detained.

	 

	After the examination at home, Öykü’s funeral was taken to the Körfez State Hospital Morgue for autopsy. The funeral was buried in Kocaeli City Cemetery after the autopsy procedures completed the previous day.
