
Journalist Zeynep Durgut testifies

	ŞIRNAK - MA reporter Zeynep Durgut gave a statement to the police headquarters with the allegation of ‘’praising the crime and the criminal.’’

	&nbsp;

	On July 1, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) District Organization held a commemoration for Zeynep (Zilan) Kınacı in the Cizre district of Şırnak province. Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reporter Zeynep Durgut, who followed the commemoration and made news, was summoned by the Cizre Police Department Anti-Terror (TEM) Branch teams to testify with the allegation of ‘’praising the crime and the criminal.’’

	Zeynep, whose statement was taken upon the order of the Cizre Prosecutor's Office, was asked about the news that ‘’Zeynep Kınacı was commemorated in Cizre.’’ Zeynep, who gave a statement to the police who claimed that the news contains a criminal element, stated that she reported the news because she thought that the society should be informed, and stated that she did not commit a crime.

	After the statement proceedings, Zeynep left the Police Department.
