Women at Maltepe Square with photos of Deniz

	ISTANBUL - Many women, who came to Istanbul from all over Turkey at the call of EŞİK, started to gather outside the Maltepe rally area, where the "Great Women’s Rally" would be held.

	 

	Before the July 1, when the Istanbul Convention would be abolished completely, women’s and LGBTI+ organizations began to come towards the Maltepe rally area for the "Great Women’s Rally" with the motto "We do not give up on the Istanbul Convention" with the call of the Women's Platform for Equality (EŞİK).

	 

	Almost 300 women and LGBTI+ organizations supported the rally, and many women from many provinces of Turkey entered Istanbul in the morning. Women gathered in many points of Istanbul, on the other hand, are preparing to enter the area by forming a cortege.

	 

	While the Women's Councils enter the area with the slogan "You will never walk alone", HDP Women's Council and Free Women’s Movement (TJA) getting ready to enter towards the area with photographs of Deniz Poyraz, who was killed in the attack on HDP İzmir Provincial Organization building, and with the slogans "Deniz Poyraz is immortal", "We die once, we are born a thousand", "Man shoots, the state protects".

	While women are forming their cortege, thousands of women are expected to come to the rally area in the coming hours.
