Statement from HDP: ‘Instigator of Deniz Poyraz’s murder is government!’

	NEWS CENTER - HDP made a written statement regarding the attack on İzmir Provincial Organization and the murder of Deniz Poyraz, stated: “The instigators of the incident; It is the government that targets our party and our provincial organizations, it is the Ministry of Interior that directs the provocateurs.”

	 

	Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has issued a written statement regarding the attack against the İzmir Provincial Organization of the party and the murder of a party member in the attack.

	 

	HDP’s statement is as follows:

	 

	"As a result of our party's being targeted by the ruling party, the Ministry of Interior for months, and some families being organized and directed in front of our provincial buildings for provocation, an armed attack was carried out on our İzmir Provincial Building at around 10:30 this morning. The armed attacker, who is stated to be 35-40 years old, raided our provincial building while our party employee Deniz Poyraz was inside. The attacker, who opened fire and set the building on fire, was not intervened for a long time. Our party employee, our comrade Deniz Poyraz, was killed in the attack. Upon hearing of the attack, our mass started to gather in front of our Konak District building.

	 

	As a result of the provocation rehearsal in the Kobanî Conspiracy Trial in Sican yesterday, the purpose and message of this attack is clear. Those who carried out this very dangerous provocation, the instigators of the incident; It is the government that targets our party and our provincial organizations, it is the Ministry of Interior that directs the provocateurs."
