HDP indictment not given to lawyers 2021-06-10 14:15:52     ANKARA - The lawyers who requested the indictment, which was prepared for the HDP's closure, were answered; "There is a definite instruction from the Chief Prosecutor, no information and documents will be given."   The new indictment prepared by the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Bekir Şahin demanding the closure of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) was sent to the Constitutional Court on 7 June. Lawyers who are members of HDP Law Commission applied to the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court for a copy of the indictment to be given to them. The Office of the Chief Prosecutor stated that the request will be returned.   Response to ‘There is an instruction from the Chief Prosecutor’   HDP lawyers called the Chief Prosecutor's Office today and asked the fate of their demands after their applications were not returned. Officials of the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor, who met with the lawyers, replied; "There is an instruction of the Chief Prosecutor, no information and documents will be given."
