Application from Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers 2021-05-20 15:38:49     ISTANBUL - PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers applied to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to interview with their clients.   Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers applied to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to interview with their clients who are under heavy isolation in İmralı High Security F-Type Prison. Lawyers Faik Özgür Erol, Raziye Öztürk, Rezan Sarıca and Cengiz Yürekli made the application.   The Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office imposed a six-month lawyer visitation ban on September 23, 2020, on the grounds of the "Road Map" prepared in addition to Abdullah Öcalan's defense sent to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in 2009.   Last phone conversation was interrupted   Although the visitation ban ended on March 23, neither positive nor negative response is given to the applications made by the lawyers. Rezan Sarıca and Nevroz Uysal, lawyers of Abdullah Öcalan, were able to visit their clients after eight years on May 2-22, June 12-18 and August 7, 2019. Abdullah Öcalan took advantage of the right to talk on the phone for the first time on April 27, 2020. He had a phone conversation with his brother Mehmet Öcalan on March 25, as public concerns grew due to some posts on social media. However, Mehmet Öcalan had announced that this conversation was interrupted.
