
People of İkizdere resisting: Despatch of soldiers to region

	RİZE - A large number of soldiers and TOMAs were dispatched to the region in order to prevent the people of İkizdere from entering the valley to be quarried.

	&nbsp;

	The citizen’s nature watch against the stone quarry Works that are being built by Cengiz Construction in the İkizdere district of Rize has entered its 27th day. After the Rize Governorate banned all actions and activities in İkizdere for 15 days, a large number of soldiers and riot control vehicles (TOMA) were dispatched to the region in the morning hours.

	&nbsp;

	In addition to all the roads leading to the valley, the paths and mountain roads were also blocked by the soldiers. Citizens, on the other hand, stated that they were determined not to build a stone quarry in the valley and set out to the valley.
