'My daughter was driven to suicide' 2020-12-28 12:48:45   Şehriban Aslan   DİYARBAKIR - Hamdiye Bağcı, mother of Rojda Bağcı who died suspiciously two years ago in a student dormitory in Elazığ, said her daughter was driven to suicide. Stating that the investigation which was closed was not carried out effectively, Hamdiye claimed, "Although there were many suspects the prosecutor  did not investigate enough."   Rojda Bağcı, who studied at the Department of Literature, Elazig Fırat University, was found dead suspiciously in 2018, September in a  student dormitory. It was claimed that Rojda committed suicide. But Rojda's mother, Hamdiye Bağcı, claimed that her daughter did not commit suicide, that she was driven to suicide. As she said, the prosecutor did not examine enough during the investigation phase. She stated that there were suspects about the death of her daughter; she tried many ways to announce this but her demands were rejected every time.   ‘Her friend always phoned’   Saying that her daughter studied at university in Elazığ and came to Diyarbakır for vacation, Hamdiye said that one of her daughter's friends from the school called her and wanted her to go Elazig to register for dormitory. Hamdiye said, “Rojda called her friend and said that she would not be able to come and that she would go the next day. Her friend was angry with Rojda and said "I went to Elazig, why didn't you come?" and called my daughter many times on the same day. On Tuesday morning, my daughter left Diyarbakır and went to Elazığ. We talked on the phone after she arrived at the dormitory. She told me there were not many people in the dormitory. ''   Her friend: If there is a court, I will tell everything   Hamdiye said that her daughter went to Elazığ on Tuesday and her friends phoned her on Friday and said that Rojda was poisoned and hospitalized. Expressing that they found themselves in front of the morgue when they went to Elazığ, Hamdiye said, “I had a nervous breakdown when they said that my daughter died by committing suicide.  At that time, her friends from school came and one of them told me that Rojda did not commit suicide, and s/he would tell everything s/he knew about her for court. Later, while the students were in front of the morgue, the dormitory manager came and took them to the garden of the hospital. After the students returned, they fell in a silence. After that her friend who wanted to talk about everything did not speak anymore.   ‘She cried a lot after returning from Manisa’   Hamdiye explained the allegations that emerged after her daughter's death as follows: “We learned that she had a boyfriend from Urfa and that she went to Manisa for a week. Rojda told me that she had a boyfriend, but she didn't tell me that she went to Manisa. Later, I also learned that Rojda went to Manisa with her friend. After my daughter returned from Manisa, she told her friend, "There were very bad places in Manisa. They forced me to be there. "I wish I didn't go to Manisa". As her best friend said Rojda cried very much after returning from Manisa but couldn't say anything due to being threatened. When she came home she didn't tell us anything. My daughter stayed at home for a month and a half, and phone calls were constantly coming to her. So many calls did not seem normal. I asked about calls she didn't answer.   The prosecutor who closed the file did not clear any question   Hamdiye said '' People who know Rojda think she was not tend to suicide. They think she was driven to suicide by her friends. But her friends are threatened so they cannot talk about it. The  prosecutor only asked questions to her boyfriend and another friend. It was stated by the prosecutor that nothing was found in the autopsy report and the file was closed as the investigation was in progress. But I don't trust the autopsy report because it may have been changed. Also, suspiciously, the cameras of the dormitory were not working that day. I believe my daughter did not commit suicide. Why my daughter's friends were not questioned. I have too many question marks in my mind. If the  prosecutor had removed all the question marks, we would not be so bad today. No matter what happens, I will continue my daughter's case.''. She wanted people to support her effort.
